BOURGEON, a new flower shop in Paris

The flowershop BOURGEON, recently open in the 1st district of Paris beside the street of Rivoli, is the flower shop of the Catherine Muller’s Flower School in Paris. The walls sheltering this new shop formerly constituted the old stables of the royal palace of Paris, so called Palais Royal.





Long works were necessary to relook this old shop according to the ideas of the designer Catherine Muller to install her Flower School in Paris. We completely reconsidered the configuration of underground in order to create space as well as possible and emphasizing the parts arched out of old stone of this cellar to preserve the authentic seal of the place.






To find a single color for the walls was not easy either and it will have been necessary for us less than 6 months of research before finding the good color: a mixture of grey of Payne and ashed grey, colors which bring sobriety, contrast and light with the various colors of the flowers of the flower shop BOURGEON.






For her part, Catherine Muller wished an environment “street art” and Town to create a contrast with the refinement of her natural work and her flowers in the capital of France. Thus, rough material like breeze blocks or schemes of work out of metal one used to perfect the decoration of the flower shop BOURGEON something simple, something rough, an urban landscape.




Thanks to our shop, students in formation of reconversion of florist can, besides their courses of floral design with Catherine Muller, to observe and take part in all the activities which compose the good performance of the flower shop BOURGEON et thus, to constitute a true experiment as a florist.
